Relli Technology Inc.,
Boca Raton, Fla., won a $43,281.39 federal contract from the Defense Logistics Agency's Defense Supply Center, Richmond, Va.,
for dial indicating pressure gauges.
▸ Relli is listed on the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors (QSLD)
August 9, 2007 (Boca Raton, FL).
Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) granted Relli Technology approval to the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors
(QSLD) for Class 2 & Class 3 Threaded Fasteners.
QSLD qualification program encompasses the latest thinking on commercial practices and incorporates these elements into
the DSCP Construction & Equipment (C&E)
Directorate & Weapon System Detachment's acquisition streamlining.
Benefits of the program include:
- Improved product quality,
- Reduced lead times and
- Overall life cycle costs by supplying to DSCP contracts through the use of our in-house owned inventory
- Increased customer satisfaction.
The program is also highly compatible with:
- Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD)
- Electronic Commerce / Electronic Data Interchange (EC/EDI) techniques.
Class 3 threaded fasteners are generally utilized in aerospace applications, while Class 2 threaded fasteners are primarily
used in ground and marine applications.
In the rare instances where both classes of thread are used on a single part, e.g. on a stud, the more stringent Class 3
criteria (and source list) apply.
Under the QSL, one important difference between the two programs is that Class 3 manufacturers are required to utilize
real-time Statistical Process Controls (SPC) as part of their fabrication processes.
